Drew Hunter signs with ASICS

Hunter announced on Instagram that he has signed a contract with ASICS. In the post, he said, “ASICS represents everything I believe in as an athlete - commitment to excellence, innovation, and a passion for pushing the limits.” Hunter had previously been with adidas since 2016, when he turned pro out of high school.

Joe Kovacs showed World Strongest Man how to throw the shot

Kovacs teamed up with 2023 World’s Strongest Man champion Mitchell Hooper in his latest YouTube video. After tutoring the very basics of how to hold the shot, Mitchell asked for ‘5 years of training in 10 minutes.’ Kovacs talked him through his best practices of mechanics and progressive training throws before we get Mitchell’s best effort. Even without an official measurement, we think Joe’s titles are safe.

Jackson, Mitton, and Ogunleye to face off in Karlsruhe

Eliud Kipchoge to run the London Marathon

Perhaps the greatest marathoner of all time is not ready to hang them up yet. Kipchoge recently announced that he will be on the starting line in London, and clarified that it would not be his last marathon. The London Marathon has had numerous impressive elite announcements lately, including the recent Olympic marathon champions.

Age group world record for 85 year old Philadelphian

Sandra Folzer, an 85-year-old from Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania, raced into the record books with a new indoor mile age group world record. She ran 29 seconds faster than the previous record, setting a new mark of 9:45 for the 85 to 89 age group. An avid competitor, Folzer also holds the age group records for 8k and 12k.
