ATHLOS meet gets date for return in October

ATHLOS, the all-women's track meet founded by Alexis Ohanian, is set to return to New York City's Icahn Stadium on October 10. The inaugural event in 2024 garnered approximately three million viewers across streaming platforms. Gabby Thomas, Masai Russell, and Marileidy Paulino are already announced to compete.

Start lists published for NCAA Indoors

The NCAA Indoor Championships are heading to Virginia Beach this weekend. Pentathlon and Heptathlon events kick off the show on Friday morning with women’s individual events following in the early afternoon to evening, and the men’s events beginning thereafter. Finals on Friday are the men’s and women’s 5000m, DMR, and Pole Vault, with the remainder of finals coming on Saturday. A full start list, schedule, and live results is available here

Maurten announces six new NIL signees

Maurten, a sports nutrition company, recently announced Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) agreements with seven collegiate athletes. The athletes include Gary Martin (UVA), Ashley Caroline Johnson (Tennessee), Drew Bosley (NAU), Maggi Congdon (NAU, Tinoda Matsatsa (Georgetown), and Maddy Elmore (Oregon). UNC’s Ethan Strand was announced as the brand’s first NIL athlete earlier this year.

USATF Foundation provides needed support for the sport

The USATF Foundation, established in 2002, provides crucial financial assistance to athletes, covering expenses such as coaching, medical care, career counseling, and travel. In 2024, the Foundation distributed over $4.1 million, benefiting approximately 165 elite athletes, including Olympic gold medalists and emerging talents. Notably, the Foundation's support has been instrumental in athletes' successes, with recipients securing 18 gold, 13 silver, and 7 bronze medals at the Paris Olympics. The USATF Foundation is not directly affiliated with USATF.

IOC and Allianz extend partnership

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Allianz have extended their worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partnership through 2032, encompassing the Olympic Winter Games in 2030 and the Olympic Games in 2032. Allianz, a leading global insurance company, has been a worldwide Olympic Partner since 2019, initially committing through 2028. This extension reflects Allianz's ongoing support for the Olympic and Paralympic Movements, aiming to provide innovative and integrated insurance solutions for athletes, teams, volunteers, and fans worldwide.
